[Having gotten directions from the Vehicons, he comes stomping into Longarm's office. His first impression is that it looks...like an office. One of the desks is well-cleaned, with everything organized into just the right place--a stifling, maddening neatness. The other, Longarm's workplace, looks far more natural with its scattered styluses, piles of datapads, and the occasional empty energon cube. It reminds him of Rodimus' office, only not so colorful.]

[Unlike Wasp, Longarm needed no special treatment, so Grimlock, as usual, is direct with his questions.]

He's already evaluated it and decided it's not of use to him to keep a secret, so he may as well use the information to gain himself some beneficial notice. ]

[She gives it a few days, mostly so she's back to looking mostly not fungus, before she seeks Shockwave out, phasing up through the floor out of sight (but still within range of her senses) before she approaches him like a normal person.

Look, she's not yet ready to just randomly appear in front of a Decepticon with blood magic, and if she's correct...

There's a grin on her face, but it doesn't quite reach her eyes.]

[ While you were away someone has been in your lab.

It doesn't look like this someone has really rifled that much through your possessions. Or stolen anything.

How do you know someone was here? There is a tiny plastic human toy baby sitting on a countertop. it is perched upon a sticky paper upon which an intricately made 'ritual circle' has been drawn. There is also one placed into any and every unlocked cabinet ]

[ Recently Bass requested some important information. Who... is the strongest Cybertronian on this ship. He received a hot tip that it was 'Shockwave' but also 'not the Senator one'. There were a few thoughts that went through his processor. One... it was really dumb that there were two people here with the SAME NAME. It must get confusing! Two, while he does (surprisingly) know what a Senator is, he has no idea what a Senator looks like. Do they wear signs? Bass guesses probably not.

This leads him to one conclusion: He has to fight BOTH of them to make sure he's actually fighting the strong one.

This leads him to a second conclusion: He has no idea where Shockwave lives. He could ask for direction, ask if anyone knows... but that begs the question... If they know how strong Bass is will they even tell the truth?

There is now one solution: He has to canvas the ship himself and check every inhabited room he comes across.

So there's the backstory. And that's why Bass, armored up in his winged Treble armor (being able to fly covers ground quicker!) is pounding aggressively at your door.

This one has to be it... he's checked EVERYWHERE else. ]

[ Whenever Shockwave returns from his bloody little jaunt there's something new in his lab. It appears to be a flat white slab the size of Shockwave's chassis. It's glossy on one side, quite matte on the other and is a bit featureless aside from a glowing boarder and a single button near the bottom.

Also the fact that someone's written on it on permanent marker.

Scrawled on the surface in a twisted almost intentionally illegible handwriting is as follows:

Shockwave, do y'have updates on... anything? Some kinda report on th'frontlines or some such feckin nonsense. Anything. That battleaxe Wrench won't let me leave and I can't get that knob Spinister to answer his comms, had better times buried up to m'neck in a cave-in!

For all she's learned on the R2, Sarah is, at her core, an AI—a Self-Learning AI with a child's curiosity, leashed only by her willpower and five years of learning Real People behaviour. Today that's failed.

She's seen this door so many times on her walks through the vast ship. Always wondered what lay behind it.

She wants to know, she needs to know, she must know, and driven by her programming, Sarah steps closer to the door, rests a hand on it, and starts to push with all her not-inconsiderable strength.

Will it give? She doesn't think so; the entire ship is built from sterner stuff than any organic could hope for, but she must know before she does anything else.

I will give you the badges to do what you need to.

[ At some point when Shockwave stepped away, someone has visited his lap. There on his workbench is a large energon colored duck-wait no it's a clear duck. It's just full of someone's energon. Who's energon? Who knows! It's free energon though! Stewed lightly in the No Place so it's also a bit weird in a way that's hard to put a finger on. ]

Shockwave, do you have a moment? I am curious to know if the method of memory extraction you mentioned before works on corpses?
